Providence Academy is a Christian Independent school that was founded ten years ago with a mission “to provide uncompromising excellence in educating and equipping students with Truth.” The school serves over 250 students in Junior Kindergarten – 8th grade. The Auxiliary Programs Lead (APL) will provide vision and leadership to develop and manage exceptional Auxiliary Programs that are mission-aligned. Auxiliary Programs include non-tuition generating revenue in such areas as before and after-school care, clubs, and summer camps. The Auxiliary Programs Lead will ensure a dynamic blend of the traditional Christian Independent school model with innovative and engaging opportunities for children. The APL will report directly to the Head of School. There is opportunity to complement this position by including part-time responsibilities for teaching PE to Lower School students with additional compensation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, and manage Auxiliary Programs in a collaborative manner with the school’s Administrative Team while ensuring alignment to strategic goals and core values of Providence Academy.
- Approach Auxiliary Programming with an entrepreneurial mindset, envisioning new program ideas to further Providence Academy’s mission and community engagement with an income generating lens.
- Plan and coordinate advertising, marketing, and public relations in collaboration with the school’s Marketing and Communications Director.
- Plan, implement, and supervise the physical education program for Lower School students in accordance with the goals, policies, procedures, philosophy, and curriculum of the school (applicable if teaching PE to Lower School students).
- Coordinate and organize administration for all programs, including registrations, licensing, budget planning, supply order requests, and review of financial reports in coordination with members of the Business Office team.
- Expertly manage programs to ensure safety and security for children, including establishing routines, policies, procedures, and guidance, as necessary.
- Effectively lead and manage direct reports, as necessary, ensuring effective supervisions, allocation of resources, collaboration, and goal alignment.
- Recruit, hire, train, onboard, manage, and support volunteer members for program delivery and administration.
- Collaborate with Providence Academy leadership on ensuring top-quality programs that expand possibilities for engagement within the school and across the community and region.
- Provide support for school operations including admissions, athletics, divisional needs, and student life.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.
- Works in a collaborative manner with others and has the ability to build a circle of influence.
- Demonstrated experience developing and launching new programs.
- Experience with income-producing auxiliary programs, summer camp leadership, and program development, preferred.
- Experience teaching physical education to elementary age children, preferred (applicable if teaching PE to Lower School students).
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary to support programming.
- Tech savvy, business minded, heart for servant leadership, and possesses a growth mindset.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience preferred.
- Dedicated to the school’s mission and ability to sign the school’s Statement of Faith.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
