The Associate Director of Primary Grades will assist the Director of Lower School in supervising the day-to-day operations of approximately 450 PreKindergarten - 2nd Grade students. This position works closely with the members of the Lower School leadership team to implement the school’s vision, mission, and initiatives. Key responsibilities include supporting research-based best teaching practices, partnering closely with students and families, evaluating faculty and staff, and assisting in disciplinary matters. This is a full-time, fully-benefitted, 12-month position. We encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply.
Education & Experience
Minimum of a Master’s degree from an accredited institution or the international equivalent
Minimum of 8 years experience in education
Classroom teaching experience in PreKindergarten - 2nd Grade environment
Experience in the implementation of professional development programs
A demonstrated commitment to teamwork and collaboration
Preferred
Administrative certification
Previous experience in evaluating faculty, staff
Previous work experience in educational leadership role(s)
