The Director of Internal Programs will assume a critical role within the admission office. Reporting to the assistant headmaster, the director of internal programs will assist with the day-to-day operations of the admission office, lead the Parents and Alumni Assisting Woodberry (PAAW) program, and direct the summer programs enrollment efforts. The director will manage the assistant director for admissions communications and operations and the admissions assistant, provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere to internal and external constituents, and have a comprehensive knowledge of systems and processes.
Admission Operations
- Manage the operations team
- Oversee the application and contract process for new and returning students
- Assist with the migration to SLATE (year one)
- Oversee the family visit experience
- Lead the planning and execution of virtual open houses and in-person events for prospective and admitted students, consultants, and parents
- Travel when needed
Parents and Alumni Assisting Woodberry
- Develop a PAAW strategic plan in partnership with the director of admission and director of alumni affairs
- Manage the PAAW committee
- Work with the alumni office to identify PAAW participants
- Develop and manage PAAW events that can support recruitment efforts
- Travel to event locations when needed
Summer Programs
- Provide a year-long organizational support structure for all summer camp directors
- Recruit and enroll the best campers for each program
- Provide programmatic leadership (make recommendations about contraction, expansion, or adjustment of programming based on market needs and institutional goals)
- Work with the assistant headmaster to develop a multi-year strategic plan for summer programs
- Steward the scholarships associated with each camp
- Work with the director of summer programs (Janet) on application management and hiring support
- Travel to summer program fairs
