Fort Worth Country Day seeks an Assistant Head of School to be a Senior Leadership Team (SLT) member reporting directly to the Head of School and serving the entire Junior Kindergarten through 12th grade community. Aligning the School’s JK through 12th grade curriculum and academic programming will be primary among this position’s responsibilities. In addition to curricular work, the Assistant Head will oversee social and emotional initiatives, to include both faculty and student well-being. The Assistant Head will guide the school’s student support programming across all three divisions, facilitating the work of the division counselors and academic support leaders. The Assistant Head will also guide faculty professional development, working with division heads and department chairs to enhance on and off campus offerings. That professional development will include strategizing how best to support students across a variety of learning styles. It will also include soliciting and responding to other faculty and staff needs across the three divisions. The Assistant Head will work closely with the Head of School firming up progress on the 2018 Strategic Plan and putting actions in place to best utilize the School’s ongoing Portrait of a Graduate project.
