An established Episcopal day school, St. George’s Episcopal School is located 50 miles south of metropolitan Atlanta, and is situated on over 40 acres in Milner, Ga.  SGES is a dynamic PK–12th grade school with an enrollment of over 240 students from 6 counties.  With a long-standing tradition of academic excellence, SGES strives to enroll children from diverse cultural, ethnic, economic, and religious backgrounds.  
We currently seek a proactive and dynamic leader to fulfill the role of High School Director for the 2023-2024 academic year.  The High School Director is responsible for the day-to-day affairs of St. George’s High School. S/he acts as the educational leader of the division and is responsible for its daily operation. The Director works closely with the Registrar and Director of College Counseling in the course selection process, and monitors student academic and behavioral performance. S/he works to maintain an environment in which learning can effectively take place, a high school climate that is supportive and that reflects high morale. The High School director is also charged with providing supportive disciplinary consequences for academic and conduct issues among students in collaboration with the Head of School.  S/he oversees the Honor Council and ensures that it functions effectively in promoting and maintaining a culture of integrity.  Additionally, the High School Director coordinates and oversees a range of student programs and sets the standard of desired and appropriate behaviors of students on and off campus.  
The position involves planning and managing multiple areas of academic and student life in the high school, while also teaching high school courses, preferably History, Science, Spanish, or Mathematics. 
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of teaching and leadership experience in independent schools at the high school level, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
