Norfolk Collegiate is seeking an Upper School Dean to support students in Grades 9-12 in their personal, academic and social-emotional growth. Reporting to the head of the upper school, the upper school dean is a key member of the upper school administrative team and a visible presence throughout the division providing support and building relationships with students, faculty and families.
The dean works collaboratively with faculty on issues related to student support, conduct, leadership and accountability and must have exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. The dean also must have excellent organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with and support faculty, connect with students and provide strong peer leadership.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or higher, excellent knowledge of adolescent development and experience working with students from a variety of backgrounds who possess a range of abilities and interests in a school setting.
