The Lab School is seeking a Head of Upper School beginning July 1, 2023.  A member of the senior leadership team, the Head of Upper School will direct and manage all aspects of the division of approximately 130 students with language-based learning differences.  The ideal candidate has an advanced degree, teaching and leadership experience particularly with adolescents, superior communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.  Training and/or experience with learning differences a plus. The Head of Upper School will develop and enhance the culture of the 9th-12th grade community, oversee the academic program, and lead the Upper School administrative team and faculty. 
A full position description will be available in early January.

After an initial review of applicants, the School will conduct interviews with selected candidates.  Finalists will be invited for a more comprehensive series of interviews. Ideally, an appointment will be made by mid-March.  While the search will be ongoing until the new Head of Upper School is appointed, priority consideration will be given to candidates referred by February 15, 2023.
