Director of Lower School Admission
Collegiate School seeks a Director of Lower School Admission, starting July 2023. The Director of Lower School Admission coordinates the JK-4th Grade admission process as it pertains to the School’s overall enrollment. As a first contact for many families exploring education options, the Director of Lower School Admission is a School ambassador and primary communicator of the Collegiate experience. This is a full-time, 12-month position.
 
General responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate the day to day workflow of the Lower School Admission Office
  • Responsible for marketing efforts and messaging pertaining to the Lower School admission process
  • Primary point of contact for families regarding admission decisions and test reviews
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and executing all aspects of group tours, individual family visits and Lower School Admission Programs
  • Student Recruitment
  • Assisting in the marketing efforts with special attention to attracting a broad and diverse applicant pool
  • Interacting with prospective families and all school constituencies in person through campus tours, phone inquiries, and written correspondence
  • Effectively communicating a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of the school community, its mission and the JK-4th Grade admission processes
  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of special admission programs
  • Work with the Director of Admission and Enrollment Management to design & coordinate enrollment management processes
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications and competencies
  • Previous experience in administration in an elementary school environment
  • Previous admission experience helpful
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Familiarity with various educational and psychological assessments commonly used in admission processes
  • Knowledge of best practice trends in admission
  • Promotes good data stewardship and demonstrates ownership of system, processes, and tasks
  • Proficiently uses Microsoft Office and/or Google Apps products
  • Proficiency in computers and databases, specifically SchoolAdmin
  • Excellent and accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent organizational and people skills
  • Passion for education, particularly early childhood
  • Professional with a focus on helping people feel immediately welcome
