The Admission & Enrollment Office at Episcopal School of Jacksonville (ESJ) seeks to serve families exploring an Episcopal education with care, kindness and respect. The Director of Lower School Admission & Enrollment, St. Mark's Campus is responsible for all admission, enrollment and onboarding efforts at the St. Mark's Campus; serving on the Admission & Enrollment team that spans all three ESJ campuses; and waving the flag for Episcopal in the broader Jacksonville community. This role reports to the Dean of Admission & Enrollment (based on the Munnerlyn Campus) and the Head of Lower School, St. Mark’s Campus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the inquiry/application process for all prospective students
Lead tours for all prospective families
Coordinate Admission events for prospective students and parents (Open Houses, Little Explorers, etc.)
Support parents throughout the admission process
Coordinate and execute student visit days, interviews & assessments
First review of all applications, lead Admission Committee, follow up on applicant files, and manage notification process
Manage reenrollment communications (print and online) and process (online)
Coordinate retention events (grade level parent parties, Classes Without Quizzes, Fly Up Day, etc.)
Publish enrollment contracts, generate acceptance packets, follow up with families
Manage withdrawals - communicate with families, manage withdrawal process, coordinate with Business Office and Dean of Admission and Enrollment
Strategic Enrollment Management - manage enrollment numbers and work closely with St. Mark’s Campus team (specifically Director of Pre-Primary, Director of Extended Day and Head of St. Mark’s Campus), Business Office and Munnerlyn Campus Admission & Enrollment team to appropriately manage operational challenges and financial sustainability
Manage incoming and outgoing records requests with other schools and support managing student health forms
Onboarding for new families - communications, materials, Parent Ambassadors, new family event, new parent orientation
Work closely with the Director of Lower School Admission and Enrollment, Beaches Campus on Little Explorers events and other lower school recruitment strategies
Work closely with the Admission and Marketing/Communications teams on marketing materials - mailers, handouts, invitations, website, newsletters, online/social media communications, ESJ-branded gifts, etc.
Coordinate and manage Parent Ambassadors (PAs) - coordinate with PA chairs and grade level chairs to assign PAs to new families and plan recruitment/onboarding efforts
Proactive outreach and relationship building with feeder schools, realtors and community leaders/organizations
Serve on ESJ Admission & Enrollment Team - drive strategy for St. Mark's Campus and work with team on broader strategy across campuses; occasionally assist with efforts on other campuses
Serve on St. Mark's Campus Admin Team
Support events and community building initiatives across all departments
Assist with campus operational needs including morning drop-off/afternoon pick-up, lunch/recess duty, phone/class coverage, drills, etc.
SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree required, 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Professional and polished with a focus on hospitality and helping people feel immediately welcome
Passion for education, particularly early childhood
Desire to build trust and strong relationships with the internal ESJ community as well as key constituents and organizations in Northeast Florida
Highly proficient with general computer operations, Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); previous database experience a plus
Ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency with the admission process, database, and school knowledge
Motivated self-starter who can take a project and run with it without much direction or micromanagement
Servant leader mindset - go above and beyond to help others and serve our school community
Ability to be flexible and to think and respond quickly when something unexpected happens
