Oak Hall School is proud of its college preparatory academic program designed to support students in pursuing matriculation at a wide range of highly competitive colleges and universities across the country, with the Lower School serving as the foundational cornerstone of a students’ academic experience. Oak Hall’s Lower School, inclusive of Preschool-Grade 5, seeks to develop inquisitive thinkers and joyful learners and to plant the seeds for lifelong learning. School life for Oak Hall students in these early years of development is designed to provide increasing opportunities for young learners to explore their intellectual curiosities within a warm, welcoming, supportive educational environment.
Director of Lower School
As the administrative leader of the Lower School, the Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the division, including providing faculty support and oversight, evaluating faculty performance, communicating effectively with all constituents in the Lower School community, and leading a positive and collegial workplace culture for faculty and staff.
More than just an administrator, the Director of Lower School should be an educator with a passion for partnering with families toward the shared goal of student success and a love for nurturing the whole child. The Director should excel at cultivating a student-centered culture, where student success is prioritized, and children and their families feel cared for and valued.
In addition to serving as the educational and administrative leader of the Lower School, the Director of Lower School will serve as a member of the Oak Hall’s One School team, reporting to the Head of School and playing a vital leadership role in the school community.
Candidates should have extensive lower grades classroom teaching experience, with administrative leadership experience preferred. A master’s degree, or higher, is preferred but not required.
