The Epstein School is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator to join our faculty. This role is primarily responsible for curriculum standards, practice, and process alignment of our general studies program across all academic divisions.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILIITES
- Collaborate to ensure curriculum alignment from ECP through 8th grade by working with principals, teachers, and MS department heads
- Support pacing of materials to ensure that standards are consistently reached and maintained
- Maintain and communicate curricular standards and mapping
- Design, implement and differentiate engaging lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student performance using a variety of educational instruments
- Review and recommend assessment, including standardized assessments
- Liaise with Accounting Department for Title Funds planning, utilization and resource distribution
- Facilitate regular curriculum review through reliance on strong understanding of research-based academics and teaching methodologies
- Coordinate with Jewish Studies Director
- Proactively participate in all team and department meetings
- Support, coordinate, and present Professional Development sessions
- Prepare periodic reports pertaining to student progress and instruction
- Maintain high expectations for student learning
- Promote a positive school environment that enhances student learning
- Maintain a positive and collaborative climate across departments and grade levels
- Demonstrate professionalism in all job-related situations including interactions with students, parents, colleagues and community members
- Build strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Proactively participate in school community programs and events
- Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS

- Possesses strong understanding of researched-based academics and teaching methodology
- Knowledge and/or experience with Singapore Math and Writers & Readers Workshop is preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office as well as other relevant educational platforms
EDUCATION and OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
- Certification/License: Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of five years as a lead teacher in a school environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - The employee must be able to:
- Bend, crouch, walk through the school, and move from standing to sitting on the floor and back.
- See, talk and hear
- Use hands and fingers to reach, grab, write, handle, feel & control objects
- Type and manipulate data on a keyboard and read a computer monitor
- Lift and carry objects (including children) up to 40 lbs.
- Lightly clean and maintain equipment in their office space
- Work in a busy and occasionally noisy environment
