Want to teach abroad?

Are you considering a new teaching experience, one that takes you around the world and gives you the opportunity to work with students from across the globe?

Since 1986, The International Educator (TIE) has been dedicated to expanding opportunities for educators to teach overseas and take advantage of the life enriching experience of working, living, and teaching outside of one's home country.

TIE is a non-profit organization committed to connecting qualified educators with K-12 international schools around the world. It is recognized as a comprehensive service for securing a job in an international school, for learning about best practices in education, and for staying connected with the international school community.

We know that you are so much more than just a list of work experience. TIE provides a platform to build a new type of resume designed around a standards-based framework specific to international schools and their unique circumstances. This evidence-rich, portfolio approach shifts the focus from a list of past experience and education towards one which looks at your impact on student learning. This all-in-one resume tool is your reflection device, your guide for professional growth, and a space for collecting evidence, artifacts, examples of your learning, and best practices throughout your career. It allows you to showcase all aspects of yourself, your experience, and your capacities as an educator.

TIE’s new share feature allows you to send a link to your TIE resume beyond the TIE network of international schools. So, it can be used to apply to any job, anywhere.

Let your international teaching journey begin!
