Our consulting division focuses on key areas of school life: leadership development, best financial practices, board development, and athletics. Our consultants serve as mentors to heads, CFOs, ADs, division leaders, and more. The best boards ensure that their school remains focused on its distinctive mission, while allowing the school's administrators to manage the everyday; we can help boards be at their best. Our school assessments review current practices and make recommendations for a better future.
As the challenges of leading independent schools increase, so does the need to enhance your leadership skills. The support and guidance we can provide through our coaching and mentoring programs will help you and your leadership team hone the skills to meet these challenges. We offer coaching for individual school leaders and Leadership Teams as well as specialized mentoring for Heads, Athletic Directors, and CFOs.
Our offerings include a School Operations Assessment that evaluates school operations and finances with practical recommendations. The Operations Dashboard, part of the assessment, analyzes financial metrics and stands alone for ongoing financial health monitoring. We also offer 10-month Financial Mentoring for new and aspiring heads to enhance their financial literacy. Our CFO Mentoring service offers support and advice through regular meetings, creating a valuable advisory partnership.
To aid your school board in development and stability, we offer custom-tailored board training sessions. Our consultants bring their decades of experience in independent school leadership—as well as international and school finance experience—to a half-day session for your board, designed in conversation with the Board Chair and Head of School.
Our unique athletics consulting services enhance the performance of both ADs and entire Athletics Departments. Athletics Assessments review your school’s operations to verify strengths, identify weaknesses, and make concrete, data-driven recommendations for improvement. Mentoring helps ADs plan, institute, and sustain changes in practices and programs. The AD Training Camp develops skills in new and aspiring ADs, while the Retreat enables experienced ADs to connect and collaborate with experienced professionals and take their game to the next level.
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
–African proverb
A Leadership Team works together to achieve goals across the school. But being part of a team means different viewpoints and approaches to challenges—and educators usually have little practice working together towards a common goal. The Workshop explores options and then focuses on actions along with aligned accountability. Through a sequence of planned activities, new team practices are reinforced to ensure long-term success.
