A well-supported school Arts program can enhance academic performance, foster creativity, develop critical thinking, improve self-expression, build confidence, and provide transferable skills for any career path. It promotes collaboration, problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of the world, serving as a tool for holistic development and personal growth.
The Arts, a core element of the independent-school value proposition trilogy (along with Academics and Athletics), also strengthen the school community by attracting and retaining students and families who value these programs.
Such a meaningful endeavor periodically deserves a thorough, holistic assessment. ST Consulting is delighted to offer precisely this.
Consultation
We discuss your school's unique Arts strengths, needs, and challenges, then investigate thoroughly to generate a personalized assessment. The review may focus on facilities, finances, curriculum, extracurricular programs, performances, comparisons, or other areas of interest.
Validation
We work with administrators, faculty, board members, students, alums, and families to reinforce the value of your school's Arts programs—both in the classroom and extracurriculars. We identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth through short-, mid-, and long-term goals.
Celebration
Using best practices, we help you recognize the Arts' importance within your community. We highlight ways to celebrate creativity, discipline, passion, and joy, while enhancing a love of learning the Arts for all students.
We begin by requesting a panoply of documents, statistics, and records concerning the school's Arts program. We digest this information weeks in advance of the school visit to prepare for the investigation.
When appropriate, we also conduct digital surveys of stakeholders at the school, including students, faculty, administration, parents, and board members—as deemed relevant by school leaders.
The consultants are on campus for two full days as they interview constituents, inspect facilities, and gather observations.
Within four weeks of the visit, we present a comprehensive report on the state of the Arts at the school with recommendations for advancing the program.
Ready to add color, vibrancy, and professionalism to your Arts program? Please contact Rick Seay or Carey Goodman for more information.
And please know that while we have a fundemental structure in place for an Arts Assessment, the reality is that each program is unique and at a distinctive point in its development and maturation. Therefore, we are prepared to respond to specific requests from schools that would take our standard assessment down a different, targeted path to meet your objectives for such a process.
ST Consulting is the only resource to offer this unique service. We serve schools nationwide, but space is limited, so book your slot for 2025-26 soon!
