Since 1902, our work has been guided by our thorough knowledge of the schools and candidates we serve. We maintain our historical focus on schools in the South, cultivating relationships with and understanding of our member schools, their histories, and their distinctive missions. We take the time to interview each of our candidates and to contact their references. We get to know the person, not just the resumé. The result: placements that help teachers, schools, and students thrive.
We lay claim to, and seek to honor in our conduct, the words published in 1915 by the National Association of Teachers' Agencies:
Our very existence depends on the value of our work to the educational public.
When we cease to be of service, we cease to exist.
These testimonials will allow you to judge how faithful we have been to our mission.
Southern Teachers is currently accepting applications for additional placement counselors and a recruitment coordinator for our office in Charlottesville, Virginia.
With our new site comes a great new feature—candidate profile photos! A photo of your smiling face can help you job search by building a connection and creating a positive first impression. To encourage candidates to upload a photo, we will have daily drawings for $25 Amazon Gift Cards all summer long! Check out our winners so far and then log in to update your candidate profile with a new photo!
This majestic creature symbolizes many different things in cultures around the world, but we selected it as our icon because the elephant and the agency have key traits in common.
